I still don’t understand how Rush is even still a thing. Seriously, it’s beyond crazy.
Just to rant a bit, no I don’t know Robin Williams, I was never able to shake the hand of that brilliant man. But it’s outrageous how people are going one way or the other with his death. It’s mind blowing that even in the request to be left alone and mourn, ‘christian’ ran news channels bombard the family, and people behind the face of a computer attack the family where they can.
Yes, killing one’s self is a selfish act, however, Robin’s life as said by many was getting worse and worse, we don’t know what he was going through he was simply an actor we all loved and few ever met. But when someone battles for as long as he battled, the end feels like the better option, and who are we to judge his way out? He brought life into everything we loved, his roles in movies, commercials, tv shows were beyond everything we needed at that time. We grew as he grew and it was wonderful.
Disrespecting anyone’s death, no matter the course it happened, is the reason people are so desensitized, it’s what lead to people sending Zelda Williams pictures photoshopped of her father’s dead body. How cruel of a world we live in, where a man who was universally loved, can still be cannon fodder.
Makes me wonder if the world really should end. And wait for all the jerks to be left alone, going on about whose dick is bigger, and who had the most awards. Because in the end, the ones left will only be comparing their ego, with no lies left to tell.
There are MANY things going on in the world, and just as people we can’t do much about it. I can send my 2$ a day for African kids to eat. I can adopt all the animals in the shelters. I can pray and hope for Gaza. But the fact is, it won’t end. African children are a source of greed filled Americans to feel better about themselves, more animals will be born and abused, Palestine and Isreal have been fighting for FOREVER, it’s not new. We’re only just now paying attention to it. Ita getting worse, but then countries who don’t deserve to get involved DO and it gets worse.
But the simple fact that we can be distracted long enough to pay tribute to a wonderful man, for a few days, should be enough. We all loved his acting, we all agree he’s amazing. For just one minute we all agreed and we all started mourning. Shouldn’t that be enough?
The saddest thought that I have had during this incident, is wondering whether or not Robin Williams knew how much he was really loved. Was his depression from something about his family or was it has he didn’t feel appreciated? He should have known that he was one of the most loved movie actors ever. And to his family I’m simply a random internet face, but if you have any doubts, please know for sure the world could never love him as much as you, but we did love him. And he’s loved even now, his jokes will forever make us laugh, I only hope we can make him laugh as well.
